Stores Assistant (Full time, 37 hours per week) Back

Job Purpose:

Supporting the Stores Manager to maintain efficiency in the Stores area. This role will include issuing out materials and tools, preparing components for dispatch and ensuring the full production area of the company can run smoothly. Organisational skills are key for this position as well as a strong ability to work as part of a team, both in the Stores area, and across the company as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Goods receiving activities – filing and distribution of all associated paperwork
  • Maintain traceability records for all parts and set out as per company procedures and guidelines
  • Picking and issuing parts/raw materials for kits
  • Maintenance of accurate computer stock files
  • Pack and dispatch parts to customers as required
  • Stocktaking as required
  • General housekeeping of all storage areas
  • Other duties may also be required

  • Experience of working in a stores area, or in a production based organisation would be desirable but not essential


  •  Driving licence is essential; there will be some driving involved in this position. Including local and longer distance travel. Transportation will be provided.
